Panacea
L’œuvre, créée à New-York, a été adaptée par la suite dans différents contextes d’exposition, à l’Espace d’art contemporain de Paris, à la Villa Noailles à Hyères et au MoBY à Bat Yam.
Panacea was first presented in 1992 shortly after the fall of Soviet Communism and was inspired by the massive liquidation of Soviet icons and artifacts as well as the questions surrounding the future of Lenin’s mummy.
For its last appearance in 2000 the project gained in complexity with the addition of new propositions. Though it still concerns the mummy’s circulation, there is by now a new use foreseen for the mausoleum as well as an extreme solution if it’s finally decided to bury the mummy.

FOFAPACOG : Friends of Futures and Pasts Always Coming or Going
After a project proposing to have Lenin’s mummy circulate as a cultural artefact to generate funds for the Russians, Finizio takes another turn at Lenin’s tomb. This time it’s a job opportunity. Job requirements include: height of 165cm, a resemblance to Vladimir Lenin, and the ability to lie still for extended periods of time, attributes the Soviet revolutionary has performed remarkably ever since he was mummified in 1924.
Panacea was first presented in 1992, shortly after the fall of the Soviet Union. It was inspired by the widespread liquidation of Soviet assets and icons. The 2000 revision introduced some variants. Now at MoBY, it features the mummy become a job description and the creation of a non-profit group FOFAPECAG (Friends of Futures and Pasts Eternally Coming and Going) to run the recruiting center behind this dubious, albeit logical, operation..
