Selection of
the Artists

Documents d’artistes Bretagne represents visual artists living and working in Brittany who can demonstrate that they have a committed professional practice, especially through exhibitions and collaborations with arts organizations in the region, in France, and abroad.

Terms for Candidacy
DDAB’s annual call for applications is addressed to artists who live in Brittany and are active in regional, national, and international art scenes. They must be able to speak to their current activities (exhibitions, residencies, festivals), the coherence of their work and career, and testify to their involvement in contemporary artistic and theoretical issues. Their work must be sufficiently advanced that an extensive documentation be devoted to them.

Selection Committee
In order to read the applications and select the artists, DDA Bretagne brings together a committee composed of recognized professionals who are particularly involved in the Breton art scene (artists, curators, directors of institutions, educators…). The selection committee evaluates the quality, coherence, and evolution of their artistic approach.
