Centre Départemental d'Action Sociale, Brest

Dark Matter is a public commission which replays the tradition of the decorated ceiling for a building unused to this type of wealth: the Social Action Departmental Centre of Brest. Composed of 217 tiles, the painting is disseminated on a single plan and occupies all the rooms of the first level of the building. This is the pictorial reproduction of two elements. The one is photographic, it is the Milky Way taken by Nick Risinger from the earth, the other is graphic, the Photoshop filter stained-glass that gives the picture its chopped appearance.
